The SYDSEN Digital Twins Lab at KIT provides an interactive environment for students and researchers to explore the concept of Digital Twins using small-scale system models. Our lab focuses on advancing knowledge in the near-real-time data-driven modeling and simulation of systems. The SYDSEN lab offers hands-on experience in developing Digital Twins of physical systems, where researchers and students can build and monitor different physical setups and, design methodology to explore how to extract corresponding virtual models and use them to improve different system’s Key-Performance-Indicators (KPIs), such as process efficiency, energy efficiency, system reliability, and more.

In the lab, SYDSEN offers a seminar "From Physical Models to Digital Twins: A Data-Driven Simulation Workshop" for students to train and learn in our Digital Twins Lab. For more information, please check our "Courses & Seminars" page.

Furthermore, we offer master and bachelor thesis opportunities where students can explore solution challenges utilizing digital twins in the SYDSEN Digital Twins Lab. For more information, please check our "Thesis Topics" page.
